This is the third coin in our Canadian Mosaics series, which puts a new spin on traditional wildlife portraits. Your coin is formed by more than 130 individually engraved segments of all sizes, like pieces of tile that come together to form a mosaic—complete with engraved “grout” lines! But the attention to detail runs much deeper than the detailed engraving: Colour Mosaictechnology also heightens our colourful portrait by mixing different paint effects that create a subtle interplay of light—from glassy hues to the dark and opaque colours of the cougar's fur.
