Nicknamed "Faithful Annie", the Avro Anson was reputed for its stability and rugged reliability. Its wartime production fuelled Canada's aircraft manufacturing industry, but its most significant role was arguably as the twin-engine aircraft of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan (BCATP).
