As long as there have been people on Earth, there have been explorers-pioneering individuals with one eye trained on the horizon, eager to know what lies beyond, and always ready to break a new trail towards the future. But their adventure never ends, because every destination inspires another. Exploration-that irrepressible spirit of discovery-fuels the life and passion of individuals. It drives the evolution of their community, and ultimately shapes the future of their nation.
Canadian artist John Mantha has created a beautifully detailed design of two prospectors on a quest for gold. One is crouched in the foreground panning in a riverbed while a second stands on a rocky outcrop as if surveying the land for another potential site. Also featured in the scene are the treasured mining equipments each prospector would have to purchase before heading into the wilderness. All his belongings would be contained in a single pack on his back while prospectors with the financial means could lessen their load with a pack mule.
